Guest Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I've searched and seen the question without a definite answer. I want to add a description to manufacturers in my admin section. So that it shows with the items from that manufacturer. I figure I should be able to pull code from the product.php but I'm not sure which part. Thank you for your help.
♥14steve14 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Regardless of which version of oscommerce you are using, why not install a seo add on. I use headertags seo. This will do what you want, and will do so much more. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
Guest Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/7659/v,23 I went to the add ons, put my version 2.3, this was the only one I found. When I downloaded it there was only a read me file? Thank you for replying Steve!
adelgado Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Stacy That text file indicates where you can find and download the add-on: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5851/
Guest Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Thanks Antonio and Steve... So I downloaded the seo. No problems installing(an amazement to myself) and see all the benefits of using it. I had something similar on the old site(basic html) I am trying to upgrade from. Which points me back to my original question. I entered information under manufacturer-saved...it doesn't show on the site at all. I'm sure it's in the background somewhere. I need it on the physical site. When I go back into manufacturer(under the admin) it's not there. I'm not getting any error messages, so I assume I've uploaded properly. examples Current site http://secondwindpublishing.com/AmyDeTremp.html See the author (manufacturer) information at the top there. vs http://www.mylifepress.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=22 It's not there http://www.mylifepress.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=22&products_id=55 It's here-in the middle of the page because I put it in the product description. Thanks Again!
