Hello, Im not really a newbee but there is a few things i need to know, because before i had help from both hosting comp to solve it and also the designer i hired to redesign the templates to my own image design.

THE ERROR I GOT ON MY SITE IS THIS

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.

I have try to ask godaddy.com what to do but they cant do a piss so they arent a good hosting comp but cheap and easy to understand most of everything of their cpanel.

But I hv no idea how to solve this, what should i write in my php.ini file and they say i should rename the file too php5.ini bcoz that is what they are using php5 script.

Also in the .htaccess what text should it be there, im getting really frustrated of this issue, been using the hosting for 20 days and still hvent fix the most easy part this site...

Please help me anyone

You have an old oscommerce version.

Modify your shop to work without register globals

or

Update your shops to version 2.31

or

Start over with a 2.31 shop.

Thx for the info, then I need to ask you this:

If i update the version, what would be harmed after i update it. I bought this from a guy, with complete template design and now i cant reach him so i wonder what i should do. I bought 10 different shop, 2 of them having prestashop to be installed also, guess that prestashop is for the new version of eCommerce.

Thing is i just hv basic knowledge of this, not an expert of php.

How to modify if i choose that?

or start over, can i still bring in my templates and so on?

I guess its just an script in the new version that makes everything works.

Thank you/ kent
