Convert old databse to new OsCommerce

I need to find out how to convert a databse from an older OsCommerce version to osCommerce Online Merchant v2.3.1. I had a major multi-computer failure, including all backups of the OsCommerce installation files, so I can't even give a version number. It was current about 4 years ago roughly, maybe a bit longer. I know the old database table format lacked a few columns from the new one, but thats all I know. I do know that the version I had needed to be converted to the next one up before it could be further converted to the current one, if that helps. Best guess as to the old version is osCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2. If there are any threads already covering a conversion from such an old version directly to the latest, I havent found them. Any help appreciated.

compare your db info with the new one and then make the needed adjustments top it to allow it to be imported.
