which files control the product description field? (v 2.2)

I would like to know which files relate to the product description input fields, as a problem developed recently so that html tags like <br> and <p> etc.. do bot work, but rather on updating they show up in the description itself with an underscore in front and behind like this: _br_ or _p_ etc... The fields worked for 2 years since the store was built, but suddenly this problem occured.

 

Can anyone advise which files to look at to fix this, or even better, to advise what the problem may be?

The file used when you enter the product descriptions in admin is admin/categories.php

That's the only way I know to explain the problem.

Thank you germ, I found the fix in that thread. It was the mistaken switching of the database.php from the root includes folder to the database.php in admin/includes which was done when another problem was fixed recently.
