templar1973
I am new to eCommerce and am attempting to set up my first online store. I have read many posts regarding customizing certain areas and the "How do I..." thread, but I am still unsure of certain aspects of start-up. Is the inventory tracking automatic? How do I get the order status on my site? How do I get automatic email delivery after orders and shipping complete? How do I change the visible product attributes that are shown? How do I get a "Quantity" and "Add quantity to cart" fields to show for products? And other fields? How do I get these attributes to show on the home page so the customer doesn't have to click on the item to pull up the details? Do I need to download a shipping module or is it already installed? If I do need to download, where do I install? Does the Google shopping cart work well with osCommerece? Are there any free templates for osCommerece? Any other general advice or help would be appreciated as I'd like to get up and running asap. Thanks.

templar1973
I have read both and both provide good information and answer some of my questions, but not all. I know that it is due to my lack of experience and the fact that I do not know coding. Example: The product attributes, i.e. Quantity & Add Quantity to Cart, are not addressed and I'm not sure where to go for that. Thanks, but this product needs a detailed user manual for those of us who are not developers or programmers.
