Payment made with no order

With cc_via_migs payment module via 3rd party hosted payment gateway, I have tried to figure out an appropriate solution to keep track of the order made by customers in case they got stuck on the 3rd party's payment gateway website. This problem has been happening pretty frequently for these past a couple of weeks whereby roughly 2 customers out of 10 came back to my client's site that they had made a purchase and yet didn't receive any order confirmation nor their order had even existed in the admin module.

 

I used the approach as described on this site: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,6239/page,35, and found out that the solution did not work for cc_via_migs payment module where in checkout_process.php file, this module will perform some sort of payment validation or something which I am not too familiar with.

 

I am pretty new to osCommerce, therefore excuse me if i did not address the issue correctly and would also like to thank some of you who are willing to shed some lights here.

Thank You toyicebear, the link that you gave me worked like a charm! :) I used the 1st link one (Held Orders v1b) and the installation procedures were so easy to follow.
