jcalib
Hi ppl Basicly here's my story and the story of around 10 other ppl!! There is a certain uk based website power by osCommerce wont mention any names at the present time, anyway me and other ppl have ordered from this store around 1 month ago and payment for the orders has been took from are bank accounts but havent had any delivery of good to present date!! :( Now i found out that the store owner is a regular visitor to another online forum so i went there and asked about it, but the store owner didn't reply just ppl in the same boat as me!!! After around 30 posts in this thread someone who knows the store owner said that he had been i hospital and that after the weekend just gone he'd sort out the outstanding order's but still no email from him regarding these orders!! As you can imagine is a very annoying situation!! All that im here to ask is, Is i correct that the store is still trading, taking money and not delivering the goods!! and is there someone at osCommerce that i can contact to shut the site down if worst comes to the worst!! I dont know if osCommerce can do this or have the right to but sure someone here can answer that As said im been waiting now 4weeks anyone help? mattice
Although I am sorry for your situation it has nothing to do with the fact these people are using osCommerce as their e-commerce solution. We provide a solution which people can use under GPL licence but we are in no way an official channel to prevent fraud, nor is our forum. The best thing to do is to contact your bank and dispute the transaction. Guest
I dont think this is a problem you can take up with the OS team, they just provide the software. If you are having problems with a trader in the UK, your first call port of call should be the website. Email and phone the store owner. If you have paid for your products, and you havent received anything within 28 days or more if his terms and conditions state a longer date then lodge a complaint with the Office of fair trading, www.oft.gov.uk also the Trading Standards. www.tradingstandards.gov.uk. http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/cgi-bin...DV0043-1011.txt This is a good article by the TS on your rights as a consumer and distance selling[/url]
