kelly236
Hi Everyone, I just had a run in with a customer who purchased a bunch of stuff but one of my products was out of stock and she still manged to check out with it although the amount was $0.00 when it added it up, I was wondering if anyone knew of a contribution that will remove the product once the quantity has gone to zero, I was going to try the sold out one but my cart is heavily modified and the lines of code it tells me to change are no longer there, I have an old 2.2 cart with tons of mods, I don't think I can use one that disables the checkout button because if they order several things as above then wouldn't that disable them from checking out? If anyone know of anything I can use I would surely appreciate it, Thanks for your time Kelly

doobey2doobey
Oscommerce will do that from standard. Go to your admin - configuation and click stock. The setting in there can be altered. "if the product quantity become zero, The product should not appear online." How do you do this? Please let me now.
♥14steve14
Read the post you quoted. make check stock to true and subtract stock to true and allow checkout to false. That is what my settings are and out of stock products do not show in the store. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
ianric
Hi It can be done automatically. See this post http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=155571&hl=stock++delete++order Works for me, as indicated back in 2009. I only have one of each product so I also manually delete images and MP3 samples when a product is sold. Remember to TEST locally and BACKUP database and files HTH Ian
