Change locations of banners in 2.3

Hello< I am very new to oscommerce. I know very little about php code. I would like to add banners to my site. I do understand how the basic banner manager works. Unfortunately the module is very simple. I would like to place my banners in different locations on my page (right column, left column, top, etc.). Is their a module that will allow me more control over placement of banners? Or, what code and where should I make changes if no module is availible?

There is also a banner box that allows you to put banners in the left or right column.
