PassionPrincess Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Under 'Images', I made the widths 150 each (under 'small image', 'heading image', and 'subcategory image'). I left the heights blank. When I check my site (costumes) under 'New Products For September', the pictures are all different sizes. Do I have to adjust each picture? This problem occurs only on some screens. What can I do to make a standard size for all pictures? Clicking on a picture, the description and image show up. I made that image 350 in width - easier to see a big picture. I am not knowledgeable about codes or where they can be found. I'm a newbie. Please suggest what I can do to standardize the pictures. www (dot) sextoysestore (dot) com. Thank you.
NodsDorf Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 The best way I found to handle image size problems is to create a standard size you want to use 250 / 350 or whatever. -create a photoshop or (paintshop if you're oldschool) transparent template that size. Then resize the original image into that template and center it vertically and horizontally. -now all the images will look take up the same area and look as crisp as possible. This can take a VERY long time if you have a lot of products and even more time when you're dealing with multiple sizes of the same image. The reward is that everything is as good as it can be and you know exactly what size images you'll need when adding new products.
