Driamer Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 In my shop I have several categories with several sub-categories (only 1 level though), and what i would like to do is be able to show the product listing of all the sub-categories + the sub-category icons under the selected master category. So basically the only difference to the existing standard product listing, where when you select the master category it only shows the sub-category icons, i also want it show the products from every sub-category. Can this be done with an add-on or is there an easy way to add it to the code? I am using version 2.3.1 and not using any front end add-ons yet.
Driamer Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 I tried copying the products by linking the to the master category, and now I get them all listed under it. But now the problem is that the sub-category icons are not showing. It's one or the other but I am unable to show both of them. I tried searching the forums and read several discussions and it seems that people have had similar questions before, but they remained unanswered. I'm not as familiar with PHP than i would like to be, but basic coding logic would indicate that this shouldn't really be all that difficult to fix. Can someone give me clue where to start?
Driamer Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 Maybe some trick where i create a product, but it's really just a link to open a subcategory? No that wouldn't work...
