Guest Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 I have a very big problem. I was made a backup file on 20 august 2011 , so i decided to make changes in my store. But the changes failed , so i restore the backup file from 20 august 2011. And here is the problem .The restore is not full. Almost all of product are missing. Almost 740 products are gone.The images of the products are there, but the products is not there.The admin panel tell me that i have 534 products , but actually i have 108 only.It is strange that , there are the products that i add on 20 august. Please help me can i do anything. I'm in a big trouble. Can i turn back the sitiuation before i decided to make a backup restore.

Guest Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 our last backup 20.08.2011 , system crash 20.09.2011 , is there a hope to restore the system from 20.09.11 we do not have lost information , just php setting lost , probably our information is on the web server . We lost almost all of our products divided into groups in our catalog, the images into the image directory are save probably and the product content is save.
goldoi Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 First look in catalog/backups the backup you have. I advise you to use phpmyadmin to do backup! The one fromoscommerce doesn't take values if you have install addons which requires new table or fields. And secondly, install easypopulate, to make backup in csv file of all your products. Keep us update if you find something.
