velvetpixel Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 How do I assign a single product to multiple categories? I see the move, copy and delete buttons associated with those functions but don't see how to make one item appear in two categories. I can't use copy as I need to track the stock of this single item in one place. Doesn't copy create a totally new product with it's own separate stock? osCommerce 2.3.1 Add-Ons Installed Header Tags SEO Ultimate SEO URLs Google Sitemap SEO Easy Populate QT Pro Margin Report AJAX Attribute Manager Smart Columns CKEditor OSCThumb Select Product Image Directory Category CSS Menu Enable Disable Categories Contact Form Captcha
hughesca Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Yes, copy will create a completely new product with it's own stock as long as you chose the Duplicate Product option. If you chose the link product option, I believe it will reference the stock from the item linked. Peace, Chris
