NodsDorf
Sorry no one else gave you any feedback Heather. I think it would be worth the effort to install if you have affiliate friendly products / services. After I got it installed I remember it was a lot of modifications but over 6 months I was able to generate about 10 good affiliates that helped me in the niche market I was in. There was about 2 or 3 regular customers who just signed up as an affiliate so they would receive affiliate commissions on what they were going to buy anyway, no big deal really. That said, if you're in a very broad market it may not be worth the effort or time. Back in my day facebook, twitter, and google +1 wasn't everywhere and getting forum / blogs to sign up as affiliates helped them while helping my business. Either way, good luck
Mort-lemur
Thanks again Don, Well I took the plunge and installed it - all seems to be working well from what I can make out - Had to make a change to paypal IPN to get it to register the affiliate sale. The only thing that is vague is how the billing system works. NodsDorf
What we did for our billing system was just asked the customers if they wanted a PayPal payment or Store Credit once they reached $25.00 in commission.
Mort-lemur
Hi, I have made some dummy orders as an affiliate and have the days set to zero in the billing period under config. However, when I go to the billing page it is still bland with no payments due or pending. Im wondering if there is a 30 day period hard coded in somewhere? Thanks Now running on a fully modded, Mobile Friendly 2.3.4 Store with the Excellent MTS installed - See my profile for the mods installed ..... NodsDorf
From what I remember the affiliate also has to come from an affiliate banner or text. Meaning you need setup another site with a referral click then create a new account and buy something for it to count as a referral sale. As far as the 30 day thing I think it was min value they had coded but could change it.. its been awhile so I'm not 100% on that.
Mort-lemur
Thanks Don, I had entered the site as a "Referred" customer from one of my other sites so the sale counts towards affiliate commission. Ill try a search for a text string of 30 in the files to see if I can find it coded anywhere - as Fimble was the last one to update this package could do with his input here.
