orders.php can't access DB

Hi gang,

 

I have a slight problem, my admin/orders.php can't access the sql.

The page just shows an sql warning saying the DB has "gone away".

Every other page works fine as far as I can see. and i have never edited the orders.php file.

Just to be sure it wasn't script related i uploaded a "virgin' copy from the original osc zip file.

 

I'm guessing it's an SQL problem, but I'm not a programmer and don't even play one on tv, so I'm not sure the best way to fix the problem.

 

Anyone willing to give me any tips?

Are you saying that you can login to the admin click any options but as soon as you click orders you get an error? If so can you tell us exactly what the error says.

The DB isn't actually queried in the orders.php it is queried in the /includes/classes/order.php Have you made ANY changes to the admin side ? If your /admin/includes/configure.php file is correct, then there shouldn't be any issues. (Barring problems with your actual database server)
