template system for 2.3.1

Hi does anyone know of a template system for 2.3.1?

 

I have a modified site (using 2.2) and am thinking of moving to 2.3.1, but would like to add templates so i can easily change the look of my site based on times of year/events etc.

 

i have noticed there is template_top and bottom but cant see anywhere in admin to turn templates on/off. i have seen the jquery template but dont wont to go down that route if i can help it, plus with that there still isnt anything in admin to swith between templates.

 

any ideas please?

NO, STS and BTS are not compatible with v2.3.1. However you can install Theme Switcher which will allow you to change themes created with Theme Roller from the admin area.

There are solutions, but not for free, you need to google for them

 

Regarding changing the look based on any criteria (season, daytime, etc), it all depends on how much you want it to change

 

So you could for example upload several theme roller themes (link above) and prepare a couple of stylesheets and then make a switch in template_top.php to 'activate" the theme/style combination you want according to conditions you specify
