nttcar Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 1: I am not sure which version of oscommerce I am running , I installed back on 2007 might be 2.2 and where I can find out exactly which verison i have installed 2: after I move to another website provider fatcow. i am no longer able to login my /admin page. it keeps saying wrong password. I went to phpmyadmin page and reset my password accourding to the email associate with it. still no luck. I confirm the configure.php on /admin/include and /include has wesite.fatcowmysql.com defined. I went back to my old hosting provider it works fine and pull the database and restore it back to fatcow . still no working, FATCOW wants to charge $75 to fix it, ha ha... :( Does anyone know how to fix it Regards Nttcar
Guest Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 1) Open the /includes/application_top.php file and look around line 36 for the version you are using. 2) you can't use phpmyadmin to reset your password. you can truncate the administrators table and then log into your admin area where you will be informed that there is NO administrators username or password and you need to create one. Once you do, you should be able to log in. note: if you have applied .htaccess protection or file manager protection (in your hosting account) then you will need to disable it before truncating the administrators table and creating a new one. germ Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 If a .htaccess file is involved you should also read this When you change hosts you might have to edit it to correct the path to the password file it uses. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
