Hi,

I'm a newbie but determined to create a store that has the look and layout similar to : http://the3rddoor.ne...logue/index.php

it might take me a very long time but by the time i'm there i might know something about php

Can anyone give me an idea of how and where to insert the faded images behind catalog, information and new arrivals?

also have tried for hours to center the shop at a fixed size of 800px with no luck...

tried

http://www.oscommerc...ntributions,266

and

http://www.geraelind...scommerce-store (with this one you have to change every .php page...)

link to my site:

www.myownart.com.au

if someone has the time and kindness to give me some advise I would be very gratefull

Cheers

If you're just starting, why start with an obsolete version of osCommerce? The current version (2.3.1) is automatically centered. It's also 960 pixels wide. I suppose you could make it narrower, but why would you want to?

For the background images, use CSS .

Hi,

Im using osc 2.2 only because of the add on option types 2.2 asit is the only add on that allows customers to upload files.

The with could be wider than 800 but my issue is figuring out what i'm doing wrong with the codes as it is not centered yet.

Thanks for the link about adding images to the stylesheet. I figured out how to get them to appear, but how/were do i change the settings for the size of the boxes so that the whole image fits? And what if i dont want the image to appear in all of the column headings

Thanks

Elin
