New install - help with admin page please

Hi all

I'm sure you have come accross this problem before and hope there is a simple solution! Here goes!

 

I have just installed 2.3.1 and can access the catalog/index.php page no problem.

But, I am unable to access the administration page and get the following error:

 

'Warning: require(includes/languages/.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/14/[name]/htdocs/witney canvas/oscommerce-2.3.1/catalog/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 167

I had installed version 3.0.2 previously and had no problems and could get on the administration page. I deleted this as I later found it to be a beta version and not ready.

 

I have deleted the database and removed all associated files prior to installing version 2.3.1. then started from scratch.

 

Right there we have it, Im stuck and dont know where to turn so I am looking forward to resolving this issue!

I havent changed a thing neither
