Currency update failing

Hi,

 

Both the default and backup currency update services (oanda.com and xe.com) have started failing:

Anyone else getting this and are there alternatives?

I just tried a few and they all worked fine, try again it might be the service had an outtage.

Same problem here..been going on for over a week now.

 

USD and CAD were updating fine, the rest said couldn't update, maybe not a valid currency...

 

The rest were JPY, AUD, and EUR.

I have the same problem with this...

 

Error: The exchange rate for US Dollar (USD) was not updated via xe. Is it a valid currency code?

 

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Working fine here. I've set mine up to update every hour via CRON using oanda.com/xe.com.

 

I've noticed that multiple currencies will fail throughout the day, however ultimately they will succeed and update properly. So this is normal behavior for the free currency exchange rate services.

I suggest you install my Auto Update Currencies: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6419. It tracks when the currencies were last updated and continually tries to update them until they get updated.
