pnutzz Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 He guys I am a PHP newbie but learning fast. What I would like to do is add a new fields on the create account page for Tax ID or DBA. I have been going in circles at this point and hope someone can help. Basically the furthest I was able to get using copy and paste is creating a new field box that is editable but doesn't seem to have the back end functioning in the admin tools.. Nor does it seem to save the new field data in the db. Are there any how to's for this specific problem? I plan on starting with a clean create_account.php and customer.php files using v2.3.
Hotclutch Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 You have to make file changes as well as database changes. There is a thread in the tips and tricks forum, with example, on how to achieve something like this.
pnutzz Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 OK thanks I will see what I can find.. I was going in circles at the end of my week long attempt at this so I figured I would ask and start from scratch.
