Need help on some modifications

Hi Guys,

 

I'm using oscommerce 2.3.1, only paypal standard enabled, using discount code add-on..

 

I try to make checkout procedure shorter, but errors are coming ups..

 

 

Change:

checkout_shipping.php > checkout_payment.php > checkout_confirmation.php

 

To:

checkout_shipping.php > checkout_confirmation.php

 

 

Moving the discount code box from checkout_payment.php to checkout_shipping.php doesn't create any issue..

 

 

When I moved "payment method" part from checkout_payment.php to checkout_shipping.php, checkout_payment.php appears and shows "Please select a payment method for your order."

 

 

Syntax error appeared in IE too.

 

 

I hope the descriptions are not confusing..

There is an addon already for this have a search of the addons, from memory it was added pretty recently

Thanks for your reply...I went to add on section and found this Shorter Checkout for osCommerce 2.3X

But it was different..

 

Before:

 

[1] Login >> [2]Create Account >> [3]Create Account Sucess >> [4]Checkout Shipping >> [5]Checkout Payment >> [6]Checkout Confirmation

 

After:

 

[1] Create Account/Login >> [2] Checkout Shipping >> [3]Checkout payment >> [4}Checkout Confirmation

 

Any suggestion...?

The only other add on i know of would be the one page checkout addon, which consolodates everything into the one page.

i used checkout redux to skip the checkout payment page. i know it is writern for osc 2.2, but i got it to work with osc2.3.1, i just commented out the two lines to include the column_left and column_right files. but the one page checkout will work just as well

Thanks...I have tried to install one page checkout, but everything messed up due to my website installed Combined login and create account page.

 

Finally, I maintained every file and commented out some unnecessary modules to make checkout simple and fast.
