Attribute Order

Hello,

Is there a way to order the attributes the way they show up on the product page? I'm talking about the attributes themselves and not the options within each attribute. Mine are ordered in alphabetical order and not in the order I want them in. This is a big problem with OSCommerce if it can't be done but come on, there MUST be a way!!!

There is a contribution for attribute sort order.

You need to use that.

I"m using a contribution that sorts the attribute options (the choices within each attribute) and it works great, but I'm looking for a way to order the attributes the way I want and not just alphabetical. For example, on my website I sell custom shirts. Each shirt can be ordered with a variety of different options (attributes). Three options would be collar size, pocket style, and shirt length. Each option (attribute) has several choices (which must be ordered correctly, which they are with the contribution I installed. However, I want the Attribute ordered and not just the choices within the attribute...

 

Example:

Collar Size

18

 

Shirt Length

35

36

37

38

39

 

Pocket Style

Open Top

Flap

Pleated

No Pocket

 

The Attributes are Collar Size, Shirt Length, and Pocket Style. I WANT them to be in that order BUT the program orders them alphabetically. How can I get them to display how I want? The choices (14, 15, 16,// 35, 36, 37 // Open Top, Flap, Pleated, No Pocket) are ordered correctly because of the contribution but the Attributes themselves are still in Alpha order and I don't want them in Alpha order.

Are attributes dependent.

 

1. Attribute sort order will sort order for display on product info page.Using same logic code can be modified when dumping to data base.

2. If you have related attributes then I suggest qtpro to be used.
