I've been using free shipping on all my items for years but now I have a new supplier that I need to figure out how to estimate the shipping for their stuff. All of this new brands products are over 100 lbs so I can't use UPS, it has to be a freight shipment. Anybody know how I can single out one brand and what module I can use to estimate freight shipments in the USA?

Thanks!

Use MVS to create different shipping classes. Assign your free shipping module to one of those and use the Freightquote module for the other one. Then assign products to the appropriate class.

Thanks so much for your reply! I think I understand, I need to use the tax class I'm currently using and assign it to the free shipping module. Then create another tax class and assign it to my new products that need the shipping estimated. Then I need a freight shipping module that I can assign the new tax class to right? Do you know a freight shipping module I should use?

Thanks!

Not a tax class. You need the MVS Addon. MVS calls them vendors, but they are really shipping classes.

Freightquote is the name of a freight shipping module. It's available in the Addons section. Look for the one that says it is modified for MVS.
