Database 1054 Error after inastall

Hi,

I have just installed v2.3.1 and all went smoothly unit I tried to create a new product.

Got the following error:

 

1054 - Unknown column 'tax_class_id' in 'field list'

select tax_class_id, tax_class_title from tax_class order by tax_class_title

 

What did I do wrong?

Rod,

 

 

tax_class_id is a field in the products table and is standard. Are you using a template ? or have you added any contributions ?

I just followed the installation instructions.

Everything went very smoothly, no errors during install.

No templates or contributions on my part.

 

Could my installation have been corrupted somehow?

 

The only thing I can think is that when I downloaded the zip file it did terminate with an error but the file unpacked ok so I thought it must be ok. Maybe there were some files missing?

It seems that tax_class_id did not get created in the database.

 

I have Magento installed which also uses this same database, could there be a conflict?

 

Any ideas on how to solve this would be most welcome.
