Discount Codes - Which Contribution?

Hi,

 

I have tried several discount code contributions without success.

 

I started with KGT Discount codes which worked well apart from the fact that discount was applied before tax and the tax calculation was wrong

 

I then tried Discount code 2.9 from high-quality-php-coding which was OK but did not calculate tax based on the discounted total and did not pass discount to paypal IPN

 

What Im looking for is a way to give discounts, that can be applied to the total Value of products and that calculates and shows the tax based on the discounted total.

 

eg Pre discount:

 

Products £100

Discount £0

Shipping £10

Total £110

Vat £22

 

Post discount:

 

Products £100

Discount £10 (or 10%)

Shipping £10

Total £100

Vat £20

 

All the difficulties seem to revolve around the Tax calculation and none of the contributions seem to address this.

 

Any suggestions??

Search Google for a commercially available dicount addon.

 

There are quite a few and all of them are better coded than you'll find at the addons area.
