dewarsco2 Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 For those of you who are having trouble with you SSL with your Sub domains with GoDaddy. Calling GoDaddy probably won't work I found they are not to bright. After taking to numerous "tech's" they insisted that osC was making calls to non ssl. Like the most of you, you check all your files and found no hard coded referencing to http://. They help me with 301 redirects and walked me though it a million times. I will say this one more time they are not very bright. This is what you do when making a 301 redirect in GoDaddy. 1. Sign in go to hosting management click launch. It should bring you to the Hosting Control Center. 2. On the top tabs click Content then URL Redirects (should be at the bottom) 3. Now click New Redirect 4. In the Box "Domain: (must be on this account)" type in yourdomain.net ie patiodoorrepair.net without the http or www. 5. Nothin in path box 6. Bottom box click With and without then NEXT 7. Click the radio button for https 8. Domain box type in your domain ie patiodoorrepair.net without any prefix 9. Path box is blank click Next 10. Type box should say-- Permanent (301) 11. Content redirect options: Click the radio button for Root Redirect. GoDaddy insisted it should be No Redirect the idiots. 12 Click OK This worked for this sites which is a sub domain "Do what I'm thinking Not what I said." https:windowanddoorparts.us
