How to: Control behavior of Product Status?

I'm running OSC 2.2RC1 in a client site which includes both the Enable & Disable Categories Add-on v1.6.6 and the Easy Populate 2.76i-MS2 Add-on.

I'd swear there was a setting somewhere in the Admin section that allowed me to control whether sold-out products (products where on-hand quantity = 0) display or do NOT display in the catalog after the on-hand quantity reaches zero.

As it works now, what happens is when the product on-hand quantity reaches zero (i.e. we sell the last unit of a product), the product_status is automatically changed to out-of-stock. Once that happens, the ONLY way the product can be forced to appear in the catalog again is to MANUALLY find the product and change it's product_status to in-stock again through the admin dashboard. Otherwise, even if the order that sold the last item is cancelled/voided and the on-hand quantity is increased back to "1", the product still is NOT available to sell because it's status still says "Out of Stock". What I'd like for OSC to do is adjust (or at least ask if it SHOULD adjust) the product_status back to In-Stock whenever the on-hand field is increased above zero.

We're using Ollacart POS which includes a built-in void/cancel order feature. When that feature is used, Ollacart automatically returns the items on the voided order back to stock. However, it does NOT automagically reset the product status to "In-Stock".

Is there no way for me to control this under the standard code? Needless to say, it's a BIG PIA to have to manually reactivate every product on a cancelled order after it has been marked as sold out.

Thanks.
