pantufas_online Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Hello everybody... i made a huge mistake :'( i tried to install the faq desk, but since it give me sql errors that i dont understand how to resolve, i decided to go to myphpadmin a delete the faqs entries, but instead of that i deleted the entire database and i dont have de sql format of the database, only the files that were inside the database folder, is there a way to make them work again, only with what i have? and i already inserted almost 300 products, is there a way to recover that work, or i will have to do it again?? please some help me :(
goldoi Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Back up are here : .../catalog/admin/backups Copy it to your computer. Then in phpmyadmin, go at yourdb/SQL, upload the file then Execute. If you have more 300 products, use Easy populate addon. You can import large catalog just with a click.

Yes/No If yes, go on your ftp and look in folder /catalog/admin/backups/ and look there is files in. Files are like that db_db-name-xxxxxx.sql If you have nothing, then you have lost all your data!!! Sorry. edit: sorry, look here, i have rename my admin folder /catalog/admin/backups/

If you have all your products in a excel file, then it's the easiest way to do it. Specially if you have many attributes (size, color). Download the contribution, in it your have a full help. Resintall oscommerce, create a product only. Then export all using easy populate. And copy paste all your products in. /!\ you must to create products with model number first online.

And copy paste all your products in. /!\ you must to create products with model number first online. unfortunately i had just the names of products in word, then i went to the internet and searched for specifications and copy/paste them to oscommerce and formatted it my way, all those 300 times :( so what you are telling me is to install easy populate then i go to oscommerce and create one product, and then will start the easy work?? :)
