CSS: How to place a image outside regular area?

Hi Guys,

I need some CSS help,

In osc 2.3.1 I want to add a banner / images outside the shop - to the right.

Something similar as in this picture:

 

 

 

I dont need a banner add-on or similar, just a basic picture.

But what ever I try I cant figure out where to place the new DIV layer and how to configure the CSS file correct.

I get it wrong ALL the time! :)

 

Can somebody give me some help with this? ;)

I'm not at home so I don't have access to my 2.3.1 install, but couldn't you put the image in the background and align it right?
