dougdevoe Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I have read and read and read looking for an answer as to why after my installation has been completed why I can not get my admin area of my site to load. I have renamed my admin directory, I believe that I've made the necessary changes to admin/includes/configure.php file but I still can not get anything to load. PLEASE, if someone has direct experience with this issue on a Windows Server, please respond. I can not imagine how the main area of the site loads just fine after changing the main configure.php file of the site and why my admin area wont load at all. I appreciate anyone's quick reply to this. I'm a new user to osCommerce so any detailed explainations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doug
FIMBLE Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 the 500 server error can be due to either a permissions problem, or HTACCESS error, as your server will not support HTACCESS try removing the file from your admin folder and see if that cures it. You should get more detailed info from your error logs if you have access tro them Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions
dougdevoe Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 I removed the HTACCESS file from my directory and tried again and still get the 500 Error. I looked at my system errors and did not see anything posting as an error there and then checked my web logs for any errors and here is what was listed below: #Date: 2011-08-18 17:23:59 #Fields: date time s-sitename s-ip cs-method cs-uri-stem cs-uri-query s-port cs-username c-ip cs(User-Agent) sc-status sc-substatus sc-win32-status 2011-08-18 17:23:59 W3SVC507931254 192.168.1.232 GET /iqpun_admin/index.php - 80 - 76.206.218.201 Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+8.0;+Windows+NT+5.2;+Trident/4.0;+.NET+CLR+1.1.4322;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.0.04506.648;+.NET+CLR+3.5.21022;+.NET+CLR+3.0.4506.2152;+.NET+CLR+3.5.30729;+InfoPath.2) 500 0 0 Not a lot to go on here. Is there something else that I can do to capture this error? Thanks, Doug
