Update all prices based on weigh of product

Hi,

 

I run a website where I sell products to the trade based on the weight of product.

What I would like to do is to be able to make changes to process periodically to adjust to the market fluctuations.

 

I have tried some quick updates but it doesn't seem to be able to do this to all products at once. I have hundreds products on-line and changing process one by one takes time and I am sure that there is a simpler solution that will allow the admin to change price based on weight based on this equation:

 

weight x rate = price to loged in customers.

 

'rate' is what i want to be able to change and keep log when the rate was changed and what was the rate before.

 

I also have a program added on to osc 2.2 that hides the price if visitors are not loged in.

 

Any ideas how to do this or maybe someone is already using this add on?

You can use Quick Price Updates to update all of your products by value or percentage, but there is nothing available to do exactly what you want. It would be a custom coding project.
