SEO URL customization

Hi,

 

Hope all is well...

 

I am using Ultimate SEO URLs for my oscommerce site. Now the category page URL look likes http://mysite.com/toys-c67a89.html. Now i want this URL will be http://mysite.com/child-toys.html. Now main category showing like parent_category_name-c1.html and sub categories showing like parent_category_name-c1a10.html and sub sub category shows like parent_category_name-c1a10a103.html....I want only the category and sub category names to be changed.

 

Instead of parent-c1a10.html, I want the category url will be only the category name => children-plastictoys.html and children-games-toys.html.

 

My .htaccess shows like this

RewriteRule ^(.*)-c([0-9a]+).html$ index.php?cPath=$2&%{QUERY_STRING}

 

Anyone please help on this...

You can not have urls without the "id" using ultimate seo urls .. click on SEO & SEF Url's in my signature for info on other available mods.

Thanks for your quick reply. If it is not possible to show URL with out id, then can we use category name followed by id(http://mysite.com/child-playingtoys-c59a95.html). Instead of parent category name I want to show current category or sub category name like this(http://mysite.com/toys-c67a89.html => http://mysite.com/child-playingtoys-c67a89.html).

 

Please help on this....urgent.

To add the product parent category select that option in the menu in your admin. Also that contribuation has its own support thread which is monitored by Jack_mcs

Thanks for your replies. Actually I need to add current category, sub category and sub sub category name in the category page URL. Currently I have the parent category name in the URL(http://mysite.com/child-c67a89.html'>http://mysite.com/child-c67a89.html). In that URL I want to add current category or sub category name.If I am in the playingtoys category page then the URL should look like http://mysite.com/child-playingtoys-c67a89.html

 

Please help on this....
