jtingle
Is there a contribution that would allow customers to log in and pay their bill online. Perhaps by allowing them to enter an amount to be paid in a field somewhere then submit. I know this may sound odd but I often send invoices, which are generated from another program to people and thought this might be conveinent way for them to pay me. cannuck1964
Not sure why this would be so hard to do. Not sure if the osCommerce cart wou;ld be the best choice on this though, as really you would need to have a customer profile, a login and a payment service. All of the rest of the cart would not be of much use. The customer profile would allow the customer to sign up and enter which bills they want to pay online. As well, you would want to keep some tracking data of how much was paid and when. The payment gateway, there are so many this would be a straght forward process, then generate a confirmation email (could turn this on or off via the customers profile). This would pretty much complete the whole system. Now if you wanted to combine this with customers accouts and what they have purchased through the shop (online or not) this would not make many changes other then keeping the cart in place and use the checkout for both is all... cheers, Peter M Peter McGrath ----------------------------- See my Profile (click here) for more information and to contact me for professional osCommerce support that includes SEO development, custom development and security implementation
