Guest Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I was wondering if someone could either post or email me a copy of a new stylesheet.css? Mine is one continous blob. I have reloaded Oscommerce several times, to no avail. My older shopping carts had no problem, but now I am trying to create a new one, and it is very difficult to sort out the various parts of the css to edit. I would greatly appreciate it. The version is for a 2.3.1 And one other thing, (I use to know this years ago, but my memory is starting to fail)I need to make the store logo a background image, where in the stylesheet do I put it (and how do I list it)? Thanks Chris

Guest Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Chris, Download v2.3.1 here, and then FTP the stylesheet.css to your catalog directory. v2.3.1 has an admin function to upload your store logo under configuration>>store logo (maximum size is 512 x 60) Chris
germ Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 The default stylesheet is a UNIX formatted text file and won't appear correctly with "pure" DOS/Windowz text edtiors. It appears as one "glob" when viewing with Notepad, but it's OK if you use Wordpad (NOT WORD!) or some other simple text editor that can understand UNIX and DOS/Windowz text files. This is where Paul was heading with his question I'd bet... :) If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. Guest Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 what editor are you using to view the stylesheet? I am using HTML Editor. I also tried Open Office, Beerwin's PlainHTML, Word, and notepad. I don't have wordpad.

Was successful, but it was for version 3.0. Will that matter too much? On the logo, putting one up on the site is not the issue. I wanted to put the logo into the background, so that I could put an additional gif image (animation) ontop of it.

pdcelec Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I am using HTML Editor. I also tried Open Office, Beerwin's PlainHTML, Word, and notepad. I don't have wordpad. Try using an editor such as notepad++ which is a free software download
Guest Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Open up the link for the download and upload the correct version. There in one for 2.3.1 and one for 3.00 Thanks. For some reason, everytime I kept clicking on the link, the webpage would only show the 3.0 version. I traced the issue down to malware program that had just sneakingly installed onto my web browser. Once I got rid of it, I was able to see the entire webpage.
Guest Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Try using an editor such as notepad++ which is a free software download Thanks Paul (and to everyone else). The Notepad++ really helped to make a difference. It was like getting a new pair of glasses to replace the old coke-bottle lenses. lol! THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE!!!! :)
