Guest Posted March 16, 2003 Share Posted March 16, 2003 Hey there all....First let me say that I love this site and ecspecially all of Linda's contributions. Thanks for everything Linda. My problem is this. I understand the say the Free Shipping works I believe. The problem that I have is this. The way it works right now is that if somebody buys products at our site. And the total weight of the shopping cart is 0. When the person checks out it skips the page with the choices of shipping. I automatically just defaults to Free Shipping since the cart has a 0 weight. Now is there a way for it not to do this? Free shipping we want as an option of 0 weight purchases...not forced on them. The thought behind this is that we sell calling cards on our site. And we give the option of just emailing the PIN from the calling card to the person. But some people want the cards themselves. So I need to have that shipping page displayed and not skipped? Make any sense to anybody? Thanks again everybody for this wornderful product. Ajeh Posted March 25, 2003 Share Posted March 25, 2003 The Free Shipping and Payments modules as written are an either or. If the weight is 0 then it's Free Shipping and the other modules are hidden. This would have to be customized to allow other shipping options at the same time. The Free Shipping module assumes a 0 weight cart would not have shipping charges so it hides the other modules.
