Downloads folder on the Same Server

Ok, Hi Everyone,

I have a question.

 

I'm running Oscommerce on a dedicated server which has a download website running 100% to way i want it.

 

I have about 30gigs of files for sale.

 

I have setup another website, with the same products and items for sale etc, but i don’t want to waste another 30gigs of space on the server.

 

Is there a way to link to the original download folder for the products, rather than copying the folder and using another 30gigs of space?

 

So, 2 Sites, 2 databases, 2 everything really, but can i link to the same download folder as it is on the same server?

 

I tried changing the configure.php to the path of the 1st site, but the 2nd site just gives the standard OSC warning about not having a valid download folder configured.

 

Any ideas or help would be appreciated,
