Made header padding adjust to new logo size?

Problem 1.

Open your stylesheet.css find

#header {
 height: 60px;
}

replace 60px with the height of your image

As for problem 2 this is part of the redmond jquery theme.

You need to install the theme switcher then you can create your own custom themes with whatever colors you'd like.Here is a post explaining this process.

  • 1 year later...

I have been through all this and still have a question.

My store logo height is 85. I made the header 85.

#header {
 height: 85px;
background-image: url(images/tn_076.jpg);
}

Now I have a small line of background image above my logo. So I change the header to 80px. The line above my logo stays and the logo is pushed back under the body.

I looked thru stylesheet and header.php., I cannot find the code telling the header to have padding or margin or whatever is causing the line of background image above my logo.

Do you know where this comes from?

Hi Tim,

I also had a code in headertags (header.php) that left me with a few pixels above the header it was actually a small description (text) to help with the seo .

<?php /*** Begin Header Tags SEO ***/

if (HEADER_TAGS_DISPLAY_PAGE_TOP_TITLE == 'true') {

?>

<div style="text-align:center; color:#aaa; font-size:10px;"><?php echo $header_tags_array['title']; ?></div>

<?php

}

/*** End Header Tags SEO ***/

Not sure if it was some mistake I made but it appeared above the header basically outside of the container possible to hide by adjusting the text colour I eventually removed has I did not really see it effecting the functions.

To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.

Yeah, I have that too. It is above the entire header, not just the logo.

I am still working on lots of different things in between running my existing store. So i have not fully decided on backgrounds and what not.

Thanks Again,

Tim
