Just put up v2.3.1 and everything works perfect in Windows 7 with IE9. Problem with Windows XP on new account sign-up page. Script truncates just prior to textbox for email address input on create_account.php. Therefore an account cannot be created using Windows XP. Have made no changes to this page. Looked at the source code generated by the server for the page and the entire source is displayed. It's running on a Unix server. Anyone else having this problem? Any responses would be appreciated.

John,

It isn't the version of Windows that is the problem. It is browser compatibility. Ensure the browser on the XP machine is at least IE8.

Hey guys, thanks for your fast responses. Much appreciated! Thanks Chris, I'll definitely check into the browser version. And Jim, I am going to try and switch up the code as was suggested in the link you posted. Thanks guys for your help. Will let you know if these suggestions straighten things out for me.

I wonder if they are going to put that in the next release version for OSC. While we can avoid the error, there still are many people who will be using XP / IE 8 in the world if they run into an error like this they are going to leave the site.

I hope they do, would suck to lose any business over this at all. Need to place a notice on the first page of my site concerning running XP and updating your browser to IE8. Might be a good idea to provide a helpful link to the update page on the Microsoft website as well. May help to avoid losing some potential customers.

Wouldn't it be better to just apply the patch?
