Duplicated subcategory name and description

Recommended Posts

Recently, I installed a category description add-on.

It works properly but I see that subcategories titles and description are duplicated.

I installed the add-on on a previous category description code, so I think something went wrong or perhaps there is a duplication somewhere.

You can see it by yourselves in this subcategory example:

Universal Trainer

Nevertheless, the categories are ok:

Microlaboratory

The index.php is attached for you to have a look in the next post.

Thank you very much for any help.

Line 329 through 334 looks like it was attempted to be commented out.

      	<!--
     	<tr>
       	<td class="pageHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td>
       	<td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'table_background_default.gif', HEADING_TITLE, HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td>
     	</tr>
     	-->

Since this is your second instance of the heading title I'm guessing that it is suppose to be removed via your add-on. While it was correctly commented out using HTML it wasn't finished with commenting out the PHP.

Change to this

     	<!--
     	<tr>
       	<td class="pageHeading"><?php //echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td>
       	<td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php //echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'table_background_default.gif', HEADING_TITLE, HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td>
     	</tr>
     	-->

See what that does

Solved.

In line 88, I have removed this

<td class="pageHeading"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td>

And in line 310 to 313, I have replaced this

<tr>

<td class="productListing-data"><?php echo $categories_desc['categories_description']; ?></td>

<td align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $image, $category['categories_name'], HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td>

</tr>

by:

<td align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . $image, HEADING_TITLE, HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td>

And it works properly.

Thanks very much for your time and help.
