Hi members

I am new one in oscommerce, I like very much this new for me concept of dynamic sites technology and try to solve first issues. So far was using deamweaver to built static sites for myself and my company.

I have installed v.2.3.1 to local xampp environment and also uploaded the site to my hosting company. So far so good, working!.

But emails are not sent or received at least in : Contact us, customer registration, order confirmation and admin send email, either in my local site or in hosting company site

E-mail options values are: sendmail, LF, false, false, true

Please help me overcome this first major issue.

Thanks

Konstantinos

My friend

Thank for your response

I attach two pages (configuration.php.htm and server_info.php.htm) so to understand the settings

These contain configuration values to my localhost (local environment). I can send you also my provider's hosting relevant environment information.

I wait you new response

Thank you in advance

Hi again

I come back again to my issue about emails. I have not solved my problem. I cannot send or receive any emails. And I reffer to my hosting real environment (Linux) not the Xampp one

The settings of php.ini file of my hosting company are the following:

sendmail_from:

Local value: [email protected]

Master value: [email protected]

sendmail_path:

Local value: /usr/sbin/sendmail -t [email protected]

Master value: /usr/sbin/sendmail -t

Any attempt regardings emails from inside version 2.3.1 is not working!

The strange thing for me is that I wrote the below simple code to test if my hosting company settings are working:

<?php

$to = '[email protected]';

$subject = 'test';

$message = 'text';

$headers = 'From: [email protected]' . "\r\n" .

'Reply-To: [email protected]' . "\r\n" .

'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion();

mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers);

echo 'message sent';

?>

and when I run it from the same address where the oscommerce is installed then ALL WORK FINE

So maybe is an issue of installing and configuring of the application

I hope that this basic settings and ways of working fine must be very familiar to the most of you. Please give me any hint of help

Regards

Konstantinos
