osCommerce

The e-commerce.

probably a really simple mistake

My oscommerce has the payment modules preinstalled, but I cant get them to work. When checking out, it won't allow me beyond the 'Continue Checkout Procedure to select the preferred payment method' bit.

Where should I start looking for the error?

Could it be the permissions? What should the permissions be set to on the module files?

Any other ideas gratefully received!

Thanks

It has nothing to do with permissions.

In admin go to modules->shipping and.

You need to enable the shipping modules you want to use

or

According to Linda, you need to disable all your shipping modules and then re-enable the ones your using. The post didn't say why, or I can't remember.

I do need to get away from the computer. I read the post and thought it said shipping not payment.

You need to enable a payment method before you can use it. In Admin->modules->payment and make sure that the green light is on and the module is enabled.

Thanks Steve, but the only thing in the listing is

'Module Directory: includes/modules/payment/' - no payment options. :-([/img]

Look at these paths in /admin/includes/configure.php

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/var/www/html'); // where the pages are located on the server

 define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/admin/'); // absolute path required

 define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/var/www/html/admin/'); // absolute pate required

You have a path problem, make sure that all these are your correct path.
I've tried that, & also your suggestion to reload the modules, but still can't get any modules to come up in admin.
