Not receiving email when order is placed

hi there,

 

for some reason I am not receiving an email when someone places an order. It is a newly set up site, so this function has never worked. I have st up a valid email address and entered it into the config page for the configuration / My Store / Email Address & Email From. I have also got the hosting company to change from SENDMAIL to SMTP.

 

Please note that using the contact us form works fine and I receive the email as expected.

 

Any ideas why this may not be working ?

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

Thanks Germ. That did the trick. Couldn't see for looking ;)

 

Just as a matter of interest, does anyone know why it needed me to put the email address in the "Extra Order Emails To" field ?
