modifying the Session directory path

OSC V2.3.1

Path to the Sessions directory

Old path :- /var/www/custompc/public_html/catalog/includes/work/

New path :- /mnt/sites/custompc.ch/catalog/includes/work/

Hi Forum,

I built my OSC shop on my PC at home.

When I'd finished, I uploaded the 'Category' directory to the web server.

I can access the site at www.custompc.ch/catalog/ but with serious errors.

I can't access the Admin page ( www.custompc.ch/catalog/admin/login.php ) because of the errors.

The errors are there because the old path is still present for the Session directory (from the home PC) yet I can't access the Admin directory on the web server to change it to the new path / directory. It's a bit of a 'Catch 22' situation !

How can I find where this path is stored and change it ? - I've looked high and low ( shop files and database ) but can't find it anywhere although I think it's stored in the database.

I can't find anything on shop 'migration' which I'm sure would give me an answer.

Anyone help ?

Many thanks,

J.R.Miller.

In your admin/includes/configure.php what is this set to:

  define('STORE_SESSIONS', '');

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

It's in the DB in the configuration table under configuration_id 148
