I received this email from my security addons (Os_sec and IP blocker, cant remember which one I set to block IPs):

IP number: 84.45.54.219

With the user agent: (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8pre) Gecko/20070928 Firefox/2.0.0.7 Navigator/9.0RC1) has been banned.

Please make sure that this IP number is not a search engine

IP Trap, brought to you by www.linuxuk.co.uk

The UA has a hostname of skiba.incite-ict.com

Check the IP number here... http://www.ipinfodb.com/ip_locator.php?ip=84.45.54.219

So, how can I work out if it is a search engine or snooper caught out?

Cheers.

Put that IP address into your favorite search engine and chances are you'll find out (as I did) your site isn't the only one they've tried to hack.

I say leave them blocked.

Good riddance bad rubbish...

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
