How to add extra field on Account Registration page?

Hi

 

I need some extra fields on the Account Registration Field on osc2.3.1

 

1. Tax ID - need it below Company Name.

2. Where you heard about us - need it at the bottom of the Registration Page.

3. Billing & Shipping Address - Replace original address fields.

 

Both fields are optional to customers, they can leave it blank.

 

Can anyone give me some advices?

#3 - you should not need to change anything in create_Account except perhaps the wording. then remove the ability for customers to add/change the ship/bill addresses (this can be done in admin)

 

#2 and #1 - add them in the page, add the DB bits. Write the values to the DB. Output them somewhere in the Admin. Not difficult, though not 100% straightforward. Look at how it's done for "customer name".
