wfc
Hi, I am taking over a project and the website currently has osCommerce... My client is happy with the back end, they just want to change the front end which I will be doing.... I have made a new directory on the server where I will be installing osCommerce again ... Is this going to cause problems? My client doesn't want to take their website down... so I am going to build the website from scratch - installing osCommerce again as they are happy with how they run the shop (I will be creating a new database) My worries are that I don't want the installation to affect the current website.... I hope this makes sense?... So does any one know if there will be any problems... or will it be OK to go ahead? Many thanks everyone!
Guest
Sandeep, You can create and configure the new website in a sub-directory and then make it active when you are ready. you would access the site at www.yourdomain.com/newsite/ (newsite can be any directory name you choose) Chris
