Tranquil Posted June 22, 2011 Share Posted June 22, 2011 Greetings, I have a problem that has me scouring the internet looking for answers without much luck. When visiting the shopping site I am working on, clicking on "Add to Cart" does not place any items in the cart. There is no error message, simply no items are added to the cart. I got it to work for me twice, that's it. This is OSCommerce 2.3.1 installed via Softaculous Auto Installer on a business level site hosted at LunarPages.com. The URL is http://tacitus.lunariffic.com/~hogue2/store/. This is a temporary URL until the old site has been migrated onto the new server, nothing from the old shopping installation has been used in this new one. This is a vanilla install, the only thing changed is the banner logo, some basic css, a couple of language phrases changed, and a couple of boxes disabled (turned off). There are no addons and very few products. The products in the store are about half hard copy books and half downloadable eBooks. Payment options are Check/Money Order, and PayPal Express (which reports that it is correctly set up). I would appreciate help with this. I don't understand why I can't get products to go into the cart and it's basic functionality that must be in place before we can migrate out of the old server. Thanks for any and all helpful replies! The difference between today and yesterday is that now I am not able to add anything to the cart with either guest or logged in as a customer. I don't understand, this should be a simple install. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and I would be very relieved if there were an obvious and simple answer. This cart is supposed to go live by the end of the week and it is not functional even though very little has changed other than adding products and categories. I am continuing to wor and watching this forum for any help I may receive. I am still searching for the answer and will post again if I end up answering my own question. Now a new development - I am not able to stay logged into my customer account, clicking anywhere in the shopping cart seems to dump me out. What is going on? Edit: Finally got something to show in the cart, went to PayPal payments and now all the other items are showing up. Let's see if it's possible to pay for these items or not. Tranquil Posted June 22, 2011 Author Share Posted June 22, 2011 I changed the payment module from PayPal Express Checkout to PayPal Website Payments Pro - Direct Payments thinking that maybe the PayPal module is hanging things up.
