Hi can somebody tell me if removing tables from the database with phpmyadmin drop will effect my shop in anyway. I have a problem with the database after installing livezilla, i think i have found the solution to the backup problem after installing livezilla by creating a seperate database for livezilla. However i need to remove all the entries into the database (oscommerce) by livezilla to see if the problem has now gone. I if i simply check the tables in phpmyadmin and then drop (with selected) will this effect the running of oscommerce after ?

Just backup your database in case you dropped something you need. As far as dropping various tables you just need your base Osc table setup to run Oscommerce but if you have added any other add-ons besides livezilla you need to retain those database changes to still use the contributions you want to keep.

You can find your base Osc database sql in the install folder that you removed after Oscommerce was installed.

Remember backup first.

Tony,

Dropping the table that was created by Filezilla will not affect your osCommerce website operation. Ensure you have configured Filezilla to use the NEW database you created for it and NOT the one in the osCommerce tables and there shouldn't be any problem.
