Stuck on .htaccess step for SEO friendly URLS

Yes, me again..

 

Just wondering if anyone can help me with Step 6 of the http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/2823 add on.

 

It says to edit the .htaccess file in my catalog.. I did a search and it came up with several finds the first one being /public_html/.htaccess

 

But I can see the 'file' essentially to change it..

 

Then I get the following instructions but I'm confused. Is anyone able to assist with the final steps? Thanks ..

thas not seo 'friendly urls', its called Ultimate SEO URL. the instruction for setting up the .htaccess is at the top of the .htaccess file. if your shop is installed at the web root, then just delete the "YOU HAVE TO CHANGE ME/", leaving the first forward slash there. i think there should be a '#' at the beginning of the first line: Begin Ultimate SEO V2.2d. so it looks like this: # Begin Ultimate SEO V2.2d
